Thanks Alexis! Is there some way uploaders can make it easier for the IA mods to find the OTR programs or is it easier for us to bring them to your attn. Could Uploading though the link on the oldtimeradio page somehow flag those programs for you. Keep up the good work. Lum.

Oh, and I've been meaning to let you know... The flash player isn't showing up on a lot of your items because the files are all format "unknown." If you go into "Edit item" in the lower left box and change them to the appropriate mp3 format, the flash player will show up.

Thanks!

Alexis

Hiya Alexis, Yes I noticed that but when I tried (its been a few weeks ago) to format the items the lowest bitrate shown is 64. I also noticed the new pages automaticly calculate the correct bitrate and I see as low as 16 on some others pages. On my old pages would I have to re-up to get a new edit menu with the lower bitrate included. I can do that if thats what needs done. Again you guys are great.

Hmmmm.

Well, if you change them to 64 kbps, the flash player will pick them up and work fine (even if they're not 64 kbps). It might be a little misleading to people who download, I guess, but I think people would rather have the ability to browse the files. You could put a note in the description, perhaps?

It's up to you! :-)

Alexis

Thanks again Alexis, I can do that. The Flash players are a great addition as are all the improvments I have seen over the last 6 months. I have one quick question then a promise to let you get back to work : )

Is there a way when editting items to have the title field be replaced with the file name? As it is now When I upload an item I erase the title field and that reverts the name on the page to the file name, Which is important in a series going by date. When I go back to re-edit something the editting page automaticly reassigns the tile field from the file name and you have to re erase all the title fields. Is there a way to make the first changes ( erasing the title fields) stick. Lum

You know... I don't think there is a way to do that. I guess they figure people generally want titles, instead of file names.

They get the titles from the tags that are on your original files, so if there weren't any tags, there wouldn't be any titles...

Hi,

The best way right now is to put the keyword "OTR" in your item. That way we can do a search for all of the OTR items in opensource_audio and move them all over at once.
